Dr. Jessie Wenchieh Lo
About
Dr. Lo’s musical background includes top music schools in Asia, Europe, and America. She has performed at concert halls in Taiwan, Japan, Austria, Germany, San Marino, Italy, Spain, Belarus, Brazil, England, and in the United States.
She is top prize winner from international competitions.
She was organizer, moderator, and performer at the Vienna Piano Masterclass at University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna Austria, and she was invited to teach piano masterclasses and perform at Tanglewood Music Institute.
She combines music educational methods from Asia, Europe, and America, and tailors her teaching to help guide each unique individual.
Dr. Lo speaks English, Chinese Mandarin, German, Taiwanese fluently and has knowledge of Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Dr. Lo gives online piano lessons and masterclasses to students from around the world.
She currently teaches in-studio piano lessons in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Dr. Lo performs new repertoire every week on the Sunday services for Eden United Church of Christ, Hayward, California, where she is the pianist/organist/music director (2015 -current).

Piano Lessons
All Ages & All Level
Dr. Lo has been teaching piano to all ages for 20 years. She taught in Vienna (Austria), Boston University, Tanglewood Institute, coached music students at Florida State University, and in the San Francisco Bay Area. Under her guidance, some of her high schools students entered Berklee College of Music, Harvard University, New England Conservatory, Boston University, Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins, and more. Her younger students who partake the practical piano exam/audition and music theory exams held by ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, England) have all passed with merit and distinction. Her adult students, who are professionals of all areas, enjoy the intellectual discipline and soul-searching journey they take on while playing the piano and understanding music. Dr. Lo had piano studios in Vienna, Boston, Tallahassee, San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Lo is currently based in Santa Fe and gives online piano and music theory lessons to all ages and levels from different time zones. Her Santa Fe piano studio also welcomes in-studio lessons. Solo & Collaborative Piano (Piano Accompaniment)
Other than playing as a solo pianist for concerts and events, Dr. Lo frequently collaborate with other musicians.
She worked with professional singers worldwide in concerts and auditions.
Other than giving piano masterclasses and concerts at Tanglewood Institute, Dr. Lo was the collaborative pianist at BU Tanglewood Institute for many years, collaborated with Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians. At Tanglewood, she specialized Saxophone, Oboe, Flute, and Double Bass Repertoire. She also specializes in Clarinet repertoire (because she is a clarinetist herself), as well as Violin repertoire in concerts and coaching students for college auditions.

Dr. Lo started learning organ from the organ masters in Vienna when she was 17 years old. She has given organ concerts in historical churches in Vienna and in Boston. She continuously holds position as church organist and/or music director position since she was 21 years old in historical churches in Vienna, Boston, Tallahassee, and San Francisco Bay Area.
